Why
Us?
If you're looking for something different, you're in the right place.  We offer guided tours led by a
professional  paddler and biologist.  We offer something for every level of experience.

Our tours come from a somewhat different perspective in that the trip leader has actual research experience
with manatees and 15 years field experience in wildlife management and biology in the area where we will be
paddling.  As a preserve manager, Matt has a true understanding of eco -tourism.  Susan has spent 30 years
as a Florida Park Ranger and in addition to being a professional paddler, has extensive experience in
interpretation of Florida's Ecology and Heritage.

We understand that true Eco-Tourism revolves around small groups and features minimal intrusion and a
leave no trace ethic.  That's what you'll find at Aardvark's Florida Kayak Company.  In keeping with our
philosophy of quality over quantity, in addition to our guided trips, we offer a small, high quality rental fleet
and an excellent selection of kayaks and paddling accessories.

We suggest that you shop around and find out what qualifications your guides have as well as what equipment
is being used and how large the groups will be.  If we are not available to accommodate your needs, there are
other kayak outfitters that we recommend. Lars Anderson, who with his wife, run Adventure Outpost in High
Springs, Nature Coast Kayak Tours in Crystal River, and Brack Barker of Wild Florida Adventures out of
Williston.  All have high ethical standards and similar attitudes on manatee interaction.
